How is CBD Made?

It’s the product everyone is talking about, but even though millions of people are using CBD for ailments from anxiety to arthritis to acne, not many understand. And so the question remains, “How is CBD made?”
There are a number of different methods for extracting CBD oil and isolate. As an educated consumer, it’s important to be understand the extraction process and the type of CBD that is used in a tincture so you can have complete confidence and trust in the product you’re purchasing.
PURAURA Naturals products are made from CBD isolate processed at our sister company Red Mesa Science & Refining. Red Mesa, an ISO 9001: 2015 certified extraction facility, processes its hemp and CBD raw materials to the highest levels of quality and purity. Red Mesa is unique from its competition because its entire manufacturing process, inventory control, and shipping meet stringent quality standards.
And, all of its products are third-party lab tested for cannabinoid potency as well as verification that they are free from solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and other impurities.
Red Mesa uses cryo-ethanol extraction, a preferred extraction process due to its safety, simplicity, and effectiveness. In this method, food-grade grain alcohol (ethanol) is used as a solvent to separate CBD and other cannabinoids from the hemp plant material. The plant material is soaked in ethanol. The final solution is filtered to separate the liquids from the plant matter, and the remaining liquid is further filtered to eliminate the ethanol from the CBD oil. Experts believe ethanol extraction is the most efficient method for maintaining the chemical ratios which naturally exist in hemp.
Red Mesa’s industry-leading extraction processes and Quality Management System were developed under the guidance of experts with experience in food, pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic manufacturing. So, you can be confident that when you purchase PURAURA products, you’re buying the best!
